Schmidt Synthesizer – the THIRD series

Axel Fischer of Schmidt Synthesizers has informed us that a 3rd series of 25 units is being planned.

„Last year, we assumed that the 2nd Schmidt series would also be the last one. The electroncis behind Schmidt Synthesizers is very elaborate and the prices for the components have been going up steadily for years. But since the 2nd series of 25 units (to bexact: 27 – we did order some extra components) was sold out within 14 months, those component prices are still acceptable.

Since Schmidt Synthesizers still enjoy serious support, we’re happy to announce that additional units of this wonderful instrument will be available in 2018. At the moment, we’re just rounding up the current series, but orders for the 3rd series can be placed as of now.

Delivery is estimated to begin in March/April 2018. The costs remain stable – at 19.900 € (incl. VAT) for the Black Schmidt and 20.900 € (incl. VAT) for the White Schmidt.“

All diesen (alten wie neuen) “großartigen” Instrumenten ist Great Synthesizers gewidmet. _________________________________________________________ In 2005 composer Arvo Pärt said: “Playing one tone really well is enough”. In other words, it is sufficient to play one tone 'beautifully'. I agree with that. All musical efforts are focused on the sound itself. Although I studied classical music (piano and drums), it’s the electronic sound that inspires me. Synthesizers are the epitome of new sounds and exciting tonal spheres. Today, many companies produce high-quality - excellent! - synthesizers: Doepfer, Cwejman, MacBeth, Moog, GRP, Synthesizers.com, COTK, Studio Electronics, John Bowen and others. It's their products I'm really interested in ... apart from Vintage Synthesizers, which I have been collecting for 20 years. Subsequent to our former websites Bluesynths and Blogasys, Peter Mahr and I have now created GreatSynthesizers. We hope you like it.
