SYNTHFEST FRANCE (10 Years) – April 21st to 23nd 2023

The 10th edition of SynthFest France is just around the corner. Many instruments, many acts, many celebrities. Joachim Garraud, for example, will perform on Saturday, April 22, 2023, starting at 9 pm. The French producer and artist will return to his hometown of Nantes for this exceptional evening. Joachim Garraud will present the film “Modular California Vibes” as a preview.

“Modular California Vibes” is a documentary about the creation of electronic music aboard his mobile solar studio, where four producers record four original tracks for four days in four exceptional locations, all thanks to the sun. The screening of this film, unique in France, will be followed by a discussion and then a concert.

In addition, SYNTHFEST FRANCE 2023 offers a grandiose and sheer unique program. Worth participating – and definitely recommendable for all synthesizer enthusiasts, as well as for all friends of electronic music.

All diesen (alten wie neuen) “großartigen” Instrumenten ist Great Synthesizers gewidmet. _________________________________________________________ In 2005 composer Arvo Pärt said: “Playing one tone really well is enough”. In other words, it is sufficient to play one tone 'beautifully'. I agree with that. All musical efforts are focused on the sound itself. Although I studied classical music (piano and drums), it’s the electronic sound that inspires me. Synthesizers are the epitome of new sounds and exciting tonal spheres. Today, many companies produce high-quality - excellent! - synthesizers: Doepfer, Cwejman, MacBeth, Moog, GRP, Synthesizers.com, COTK, Studio Electronics, John Bowen and others. It's their products I'm really interested in ... apart from Vintage Synthesizers, which I have been collecting for 20 years. Subsequent to our former websites Bluesynths and Blogasys, Peter Mahr and I have now created GreatSynthesizers. We hope you like it.
