Moog ONE – the ultimate Moog synthesizer?

The eagle has landed: Moog One. This polyphonic analog synthesizer flagship might become the new Memorymoog of the century. Everything looks promising –  no wonder we can’t wait to see, feel and hear (!) Moog ONE …

Available in 8-voice- and 16-voice-configurations, Moog ONE’s polyphonic sound engine is built on a powerful synthesizer architecture. Per voice, Moog ONE offers …

… 3 newly-designed analog VCOs, 2 independent analog filters, a dual source analog noise generator, analog mixer with external audio input, 4 LFOs, and 3 envelopes.

To deliver an infinitely inspiring performance experience, each of the three timbres can be split or layered across Moog ONE’s expressive 61-note keyboard, each with its own sequencer, arpeggiator, and onboard effects library …

… including a suite of professional reverbs from Eventide.

Secured in a hand-finished Ash cabinet and aluminum enclosure, Moog ONE’s front panel is equipped with no less than 73 knobs and 144 buttons …

Made with loving care, Moog ONE looks like a true classic analog synth. BIG question is (of course) the SOUND. Is this the ultimate Moog synthesizer? We hope so …

All diesen (alten wie neuen) “großartigen” Instrumenten ist Great Synthesizers gewidmet. _________________________________________________________ In 2005 composer Arvo Pärt said: “Playing one tone really well is enough”. In other words, it is sufficient to play one tone 'beautifully'. I agree with that. All musical efforts are focused on the sound itself. Although I studied classical music (piano and drums), it’s the electronic sound that inspires me. Synthesizers are the epitome of new sounds and exciting tonal spheres. Today, many companies produce high-quality - excellent! - synthesizers: Doepfer, Cwejman, MacBeth, Moog, GRP, Synthesizers.com, COTK, Studio Electronics, John Bowen and others. It's their products I'm really interested in ... apart from Vintage Synthesizers, which I have been collecting for 20 years. Subsequent to our former websites Bluesynths and Blogasys, Peter Mahr and I have now created GreatSynthesizers. We hope you like it.
