A grandiose synthesiser meeting took place in Autumn 2023. Location: Locarno, southern Switzerland, directly on Lake Maggiore and close to Italy. Strictly speaking, the Synthesiser Meeting Switzerland (STS) already has a very long tradition dating back to 2006 …
… but this time the location was something very special. At the Gran Rex, venue of the famous Locarno Film Festival, 8 artists performed live electronic music. Not only did the Gran Rex offer plenty of space for the audience and musicians, it also had an enormous screen and luxurious surround sound system, which significantly enhanced the visual and auditory enjoyment of the event.
Finally, there was a synthesiser exhibition in the foyer. In keeping with the southern mentality, many guests came in family clans, which is why almost all age groups found their way to this electronic music event in the Gran Rex …
