Vermona fourmative CONTOURS: Heavy modulation stuff

Slowly but surely: Vermona completes its Eurorack portfolio step by step. Following the 4-way LFO module fourMulator, Vermona just released the 4-way envelope generator fourmative CONTOURS. And this is no ordinary envelope generator, not at all …

Envelopes? Uuuh, where? Granted, at first glance you miss those classic envelope controls. ADSR – where are those knobs? Fourmative CONTOURS is somehoew special. It’s more than a simple envelope generator. As you can see in the following graphic, the (creative) possibilities are considerable …

So, what you get is a multiple modulation generator that can either act as complex envelope module, or as LFO / Oscillator – when cycling the envelopes. Envelope times may vary between 0,5 milli-seconds and – excellent! – 2,5 hours.

“At its extremes, the shortest possible time for the envelope is 25 microseconds and approx. 10,000 seconds (> 2.5 hours) for the longest duration.” (Vermona)

All in all, fourmative CONTOURS appears to be an outstanding, flexibel and thus creative Eurorack module for complex modulation purposes.

All diesen (alten wie neuen) “großartigen” Instrumenten ist Great Synthesizers gewidmet. _________________________________________________________ In 2005 composer Arvo Pärt said: “Playing one tone really well is enough”. In other words, it is sufficient to play one tone 'beautifully'. I agree with that. All musical efforts are focused on the sound itself. Although I studied classical music (piano and drums), it’s the electronic sound that inspires me. Synthesizers are the epitome of new sounds and exciting tonal spheres. Today, many companies produce high-quality - excellent! - synthesizers: Doepfer, Cwejman, MacBeth, Moog, GRP, Synthesizers.com, COTK, Studio Electronics, John Bowen and others. It's their products I'm really interested in ... apart from Vintage Synthesizers, which I have been collecting for 20 years. Subsequent to our former websites Bluesynths and Blogasys, Peter Mahr and I have now created GreatSynthesizers. We hope you like it.
